The
Swartland is known for it’s agriculture and produces wheat,
table grapes, choice vineyards, olives and olive products, citrus
and potatoes to name just a few. Various studs of sheep, cattle, pigs
and horses are also to be found in the area. Moorreesburg and Malmesbury each host an annual Agricultural show, which is a must for the whole family. The Riebeek Valley also hosts the Olive Festival in May each year. Contact the Swartland Tourism office for more information. Guided agricultural tours can be arranged. |
